i discovered this motif on a wall in porto novo, benin. not exactly this image, it looked a little different. you could see the dog̶ he even had a backside. and there was some french writing on the wall. except, of course, there was no warning about an «adorable» dog. but i would have liked that. a dog that unexpectedly stands in front of you and wags its tail, just like that, with joy.

正確にはこのモチーフではなく、少し違って見えた。犬の後ろ姿も見えた。そして壁にはフランス語が書かれていた。もちろん、「愛らしい」犬についての警告はなかったが。でも、私はそれが欲しかった。不意に目の前に立ちはだかり、尻尾を振って喜んでくれる犬。
